Movies and Murder brings into yet another paranormal mystery adventure with the southern sisters Sarah-Belle and Anna-Lee. In this one, the two will have to face off against a creature as old as ancient history as they also rush to find a murderer!
Movies and Murder is easily one of my favorite stories I've written to date. Returning to the drive-in series again after a break has been a breath of fresh air. This entry combines many elements I so love: Southern cooking, nineteen fifties American culture, classic horror movies, wax museums, monsters, ghosts, and--as always--murder.
Specifically, elements of this book are taken from my own childhood memories of visiting wax museums. I have always had an obsession with wax figures and especially horror movies based around them.
This may just be my spookiest cozy mystery yet, and I hope you the readers enjoy every tasty bite of this little tale. You can buy your copy of this book today for only ninety-nine cents on Amazon kindle. Just click the book cover in this post. Additionally, if you prefer print books, there will be a print release coming soon!
Here is the blurb from Amazon:
Are you afraid of the dark?
When Sarah-Belle Francis buys a wax and plaster gorgon statue to accompany her latest movie showing at the Voodoo Drive-In and BBQ, her sister Anna-Lee can't get over how ugly the thing is. The hideous wax figure turns out to be far more than Belle bargained for, however, when a human skeleton is discovered inside.
The sisters soon find themselves caught up in another wild paranormal mystery involving more folk magic, ghosts, and escaped movie monsters than either of them knows how to handle.
Will they be able to track down a killer before the gorgon's stare turns them both to stone and freezes an already ice cold case to death?
