So without further ado, today's topic is:
Where are your favorite places to read?
Additionally, I enjoy the sense of comfort when you come inside your home to a warm fire and your favorite warmed beverage. Wrapping up in your favorite over sized sweater or fleece blanket go hand in hand with the cold seasons.
So, with all of this in mind, it is easy to see why my all time favorite place to read is in front of a glowing fire, while wrapped in a warm blanket, and sipping my favorite hot drink--pumpkin spiced black tea (which I buy in bulk). I love cozy mysteries for many reasons, but one reason is that they are a perfect compliment to my favorite reading environment.
When a fire and a warm blanket aren't necessary, I enjoy sitting in a comfortable chair in our living room or even enjoy sitting out on the garden patio to read when the weather is just right.
Sitting inside in a comfortable living room chair, I enjoy reading while the rest of the family go about their business. I especially enjoy sitting and reading while my husband cooks in the kitchen (the aroma of food is a perfect compliment to a culinary cozy).
The sounds of family members going back and forth is comforting as I focus on a good book. The only small issue with this setup is that family members often stop to talk to me or ask me questions, but slowly over time they learn to let me read and simply enjoy having my company in the room.
What are some of your favorite places to curl up with a good book? Do you prefer complete silence and solitude or do you enjoy having a little hustle and bustle in the background while you read?
